UPDATE: ABC's Triple J Betrays Australia!
On 27 November, 2017 Triple J announced that it would no longer hold its Hottest 100 countdown on January 26.
In their statement explaining the decision they note that Australia Day is also known as 'Invasion Day' as it 'represents the effective start of British colonisation, the beginning of Indigenous dispossession of land and culture, as well as the atrocities committed by colonists, including rape and murder'.
The move to replace Australia Day continues to build momentum.
We need to get active to keep Australia Day.
UPDATE: More Council Madness
Published on August 25, 2017 - We're five months out from Australia Day and the left-wing campaign to scrap our national day is gathering pace. Mark reports on the attempts by local government authorities to scrap Australia Day celebrations across the nation.

It’s been a magnificent success and we love our Australia Day celebrations on January 26.
Except for the left-wing elites who want to move Australia Day because they claim it is ‘culturally insensitive’.
Yet the date is not an offence to Indigenous people. The date is a wonderful celebration of what makes Australia great.
The drive to erase history and move Australia’s national day is simply a grab for power. And caving in will not solve any problems -- it will only embolden the hard Left.
2018 will see the biggest anti-Australia Day campaign yet.
The Australian Local Government Association has said it will fight for a change, while senior Coalition figures like Ian Macfarlane and Jeff Kennett have said they no longer want Australia Day on January 26.
Imagine if a Shorten Labor Government was elected: the Labor/Green alliance would ditch Australia Day immediately.
We know this grab for power is coming, but we can be ready for it.
It’s six months away. Let’s fight back and say SAVE AUSTRALIA DAY.

Malcolm Turnbull, Bill Shorten and all local Councils must support Australia Day and citizenship ceremonies on 26 January each year as a celebration of the achievements of Western civilisation in our wonderful country.
